Gina and Mickey :: Married!

May 15, 2015  •  Leave a Comment

I'll admit it, I haven't been very good at blogging lately. Okay, I've been horrible actually. (It may have something to do with the arrival of Baby #3 in January.) But in any case, I couldn't resist blogging about this glorious wedding in Sausalito. Yes, the wedding was in one of the most beautiful, historic homes I have EVER been in (The Pines, in case you're wondering) complete with a widow's walk offering a view of the Bay, and yes, the details were simply gorgeous, and most definitely the bride looked completely stunning. But what made this wedding so memorable was that Gina and Mickey are two genuinely wonderful, intelligent people who both have a great sense of humor and compliment each other perfectly. The wedding day was a celebration of their relationship and their commitment to each other above all. That promise to each other wasn't lost in the shuffle of having the 'perfect wedding', and in the end, that's what made it a perfect wedding. Congratulations, Gina and Mickey, so happy for you both! And thank you for letting me be a part of your day!

Abbey and Preston :: Married!

July 25, 2014  •  3 Comments

Abbey and Preston celebrated a nothing less than joyous wedding weekend at the Sequoia Retreat Center outside of Santa Cruz in the quaint mountain town of Ben Lomond. Surrounded by towering redwoods, the two exchanged vows in an emotional ceremony that didn't leave many dry eyes in the crowd! Throughout the weekend, I got to know a few of the guests and wedding party and by the time the reception started, it was hard to tell that some of these people had never met before this weekend! Abbey and Preston's family and friends came together in an epic celebration of the couple's love and unity in marriage. Oh, and speaking of emotional moments, scroll down for one of the sweetest moments I've ever witnessed at a wedding!

This was a tear-jerker: Abbey's grandpa surprised her with a photo of the two of them dancing together when Abbey was a little girl. He still had the same suit and wore it to Abbey's wedding to recreate the moment! SO. SWEET.

A.J. and David :: Married!

A.J. and David celebrated their beautiful wedding in true Up North Michigan style! So many parts of the day came together perfectly to create truly joyous celebration; the details that were beautifully handcrafted, the picturesque outdoor shrine of Cross in the Woods for the ceremony,  a lovely home on Mullet Lake where the family and friends gathered for food and fun! And we even got to make a stop at David's family's old farm - which made an amazing backdrop for our photos!

Jerrie and Joey :: Married!

I'm so excited to FINALLY share Joey and Jerrie's beautiful wedding in Tiburon, CA. They were married at the quaint but beautiful historic St. Hillary's Church on a hillside overlooking Tiburon and the Bay. After we braved the wind for some photos before heading to Servino's Italian Restaurant for the celebration that included some great tunes sung by Jerrie's dad and an incredible view of the San Francisco skyline.

Ralph and Martha :: Married!

Ralph and Martha joined together in marriage last week at The Shrine of Our Lady of Peace in Santa Clara. After the Mass the family and friends gathered at Triton Art Museum to celebrate in the beautiful gallery and on the grounds where they could enjoy the perfect May weather! The wedding was a unique combination of Polish and Indian customs; Indian food for dinner, Polish snacks later in the evening and lots of music and dancing that were unique to each side- oh and some hilarious games put together by Martha's side of the family to round out the night! Coming from a Polish background myself, it was so fun to see some of the traditions and hear some of the songs that I  haven't experienced as much now that I've moved away from my childhood hometown. Thank you Ralph and Martha for asking me to photograph your wedding and letting me be a part of your day!

And thank you to Darin Reyes and his videography crew for setting up this beautiful shot! Can't wait to see the sure-to-be gorgeous video from the day.
